At approximately 12:00am on July 30^th, Belleville Police were called to assist the public in locating a 59-year-old female from Toronto that was believed to be in the City of Belleville. Officers began an extensive search and located the suspect vehicle at 1:42am in the city’s east end. Officers approached the stopped vehicle and a female driver was observed to be impaired. As a result, 59-year-old Sophie Giraud of Toronto, was arrested and charged for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. She was released on an Undertaking with a court date in September.
