Stunt Driving

On July 23rd at approximately 11:00am, Belleville Police were conducting speed enforcement on Dundas Street West when they stopped a vehicle that was travelling at 103 km/h in 50 km/h zone.  As a result, a 27-year-old female from Belleville was charged with stunt driving under the Highway Traffic Act and issued a summons with a court date in September.  Her driver’s license was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

Motor Vehicle Collision

On July 23rd at approximately 8:00am, Belleville Police attended a two-vehicle collision in the area of Sidney St. and Leland Ave. It was reported that one of the drivers involved was trapped in the vehicle.  The trapped driver was safely removed, and no injuries were reported. As a result, a 29-year-old male was charged with making a turn not in safety under the Highway Traffic Act.
