Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 132 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on June 5, 2025 to 5:00 am on June 6, 2025.

Breach of Court Order

On June 5, 2025, at 6:15pm, the Belleville Police attended an address on Westmount Road in regards to a person breaching a court order. A 31-year-old Belleville resident was on a court order to not be around any person under the age of 16 years. The male was located and arrested. The accused was charged with 2 counts of breaching his court order and was held for a bail hearing on June 6, 2025.

R.I.D.E. Checks

On June 5, 2025, during the evening shift, the Belleville Police conducted R.I.D.E.  program checks at various locations throughout the city of Belleville and Thurlow Township. Approximately 300 motor vehicles were stopped and checked.  Seven drivers were administered roadside tests on the Alcohol Screening Device (ASD).   Out of the drivers who were administered screening tests, one driver was issued a 3-day driving suspension for testing with a higher blood alcohol content level.
