Belleville Police located a 17-year-old male walking on Grier Street Tuesday evening around 7:30pm.  After confirming the identity of the individual, police discovered he was on a Release Order stemming from previous criminal charges issued in December 2024.  The suspect was bound by conditions, not to be away from his residence and not to possess a cell phone.  The teen, whose identity cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with two counts of failing to comply with Release Order and held for a bail hearing.

Arrested on Warrant

Belleville Police were called to a Bell Blvd business on the 6th of May shortly before 9:00pm regarding shoplifters.  During their investigation, police learned that one of the suspects was the subject of an arrest warrant for a criminal offence which took place in October 2024.  As a result, 21-year-old Joey Belanger of Belleville was arrested on the strength of the outstanding arrest warrant for Mischief under $5000 and released with a court date in June 2025.
