BELLEVILLE POLICE SERVICE: CAREER EVENT ON MAY 28th

The Belleville Police Service is hosting a Career Event highlighting Constable, Special Constable, Call-Taker/Dispatcher and other civilian positions on May 28th, 2025 from 6:00PM – 8:30PM. If you are interested in a policing career, this special event is an excellent opportunity to explore the Belleville Police Service (BPS).

Attendees will learn about the hiring process, have an opportunity to network with sworn and civilian staff, and understand the benefits of a policing career. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view and use some equipment while listening to speakers from various units within BPS.

In order to provide a quality experience for our attendees, registration is required and spaces are limited. Attendees must be 16+ years of age to attend.

Domestic Assault

On the 30th of April at 6:30pm, Belleville Police responded to a domestic dispute in progress at a residence in the city’s north end.  Upon arrival police spoke to a female who advised that her male partner was intoxicated, he had physically assaulted her and threatened to kill her.  As a result of their investigation, police arrested and charged a 39-year-old Belleville man with assault and uttering threats.  He was held for a bail hearing.

Roommate’s actions lead to criminal charges

On the 30th of April at 4:30pm, a female attended the Belleville Police Service and reported that her male roommate who had moved in less than 24hrs ago had sexually assaulter her.  During their investigation, police learned that while the male was intoxicated, he sexually assaulted the female, refused her access to parts of the residence and exposed himself.  The male also offered to pay for sexual acts from the female which were all refused.  As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged a 29-year-old Belleville man with mischief, indecent exposure and sexual assault.  He was held for a bail hearing.
