Motor Vehicle Collison

On the 26th of May at 3:20pm, Belleville Police and Hastings-Quinte Paramedics received a request to attend a business near the intersection of Bell Blvd and Wallbridge-Loyalist Rd regarding a person who had walked into the business seeking medical attention.  When emergency crews arrived on-scene they learned there had been a two-vehicle collision outside the business on the roadway.  Paramedics provided medical attention at the scene.  Following the investigation, police charged an 18-year-old male from Amherstview with fail to yield to traffic. He was issued a Provincial Offences Notice. 

Heavy foot results in two speeding tickets in less than 12 hours to the same driver

On the 26th of May at 8:10am, a member of the Belleville Police Traffic Safety Unit stopped a vehicle on Hwy #37 for speeding at 100km/h in a posted 80km/h zone.  The 31-year-old male from Thurlow was issued a ticket and sent on his way.  Later in the day at 4:13pm, a different officer was patrolling Casey Rd when they observed a vehicle travelling in excess of the speed limit.  The officer stopped the vehicle for travelling at 92km/h in a posted 60km/h zone.  The investigation determined that this was the same driver who was issued a speeding ticket earlier in the day also by the Belleville Police.  The driver was once again issued another speeding ticket.  The driver incurred $327 in fines.
