Assault On August 28th at 9:23am, Belleville Police in the downtown area were approached by a male who became verbally aggressive and made gestures to spray water on them with a water bottle. The male then fled on foot from police. As a result, Christian Laffan, 23-year-old Belleville man was located, arrested and charged with: Assault a peace officer Resist a peace officer He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in November. Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 91 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on August 27, 2025 to 5:00 am on August 28, 2025. Assault On August 27th at 4:19pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of a disturbance in a business parking lot on Bell Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers located two males and two females who were separated. Upon speaking with all parties, it was reported that a physical altercation began after a minor vehicle collision, which caused no damage but escalated into a verbal dispute. The dispute turned physical, during which one female was thrown to the ground and assaulted. As a result of the investigation, Paige Fox, 22-year-old Flinton woman, was arrested and charged with assault. She was released on an appearance notice. Back to Briefs

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 102 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on August 26, 2025 to 5:00 am on August 27, 2025. Assault On August 26th at 6:09pm, Belleville Police attended an apartment complex in the city’s west end regarding a report of assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male who reported being punched in the face by another male resident of the building. As a result of investigation, Travis Place, 40-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with assault. He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in October. Stunt Driving On August 26th at 11:12pm, Belleville Police conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle driving dangerously in a parking lot on North Front St. As a result, a 26-year-old Belleville man was charged with stunt driving under the Highway Traffic Act

Assault On August 26th at 12:46am, Belleville Police responded to a report of a dispute in the city’s west end. Upon arrival, police spoke to the female party who reported that she was assaulted by a male party. During the arrest, the male repeatedly spat at officers. As a result, a 38-year-old Kingston resident was charged with: Assault Assault causing bodily harm Assault with a weapon Uttering threats Assault a peace officer Failure to comply with a probation order He was held for a bail hearing. Break and Enter On August 22nd at approximately 7:30pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of a break and enter in progress in the city’s east end. Upon arrival, officers observed a female being removed from a residence. The occupants reported that they had returned home to find the unknown female inside their apartment. After removing her from the unit, they discovered some personal belongings were missing. Upon being removed, the female also pulled the fire alarm. As a result, Tamara Denstedt, 43-year-old woman of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with: Break and enter Theft under $5000 False alarm of fire Failure to comply with probation order She was held for a bail hearing. Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 106 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on August 21, 2025 to 5:00 am on August 22, 2025. Warrants On August 21st at approximately 8:10pm, Belleville Police on general patrol observed a male and a female walking together, both of whom were known to be wanted on outstanding warrants by the Belleville Police Service. Officers approached and arrested a 28-year-old Belleville man, and a 31-year-old Belleville woman on the strength of the warrants. Upon further investigation, officers learned that the female was also wanted on warrants by Kingston Police Service, L&A OPP and Quinte West OPP, and was breaching the conditions of a previous Undertaking by communicating with the male party. As a result, the 31-year-old female was charged with failure to comply with an Undertaking. She was held for a bail hearing. Back to Briefs
