BELLEVILLE, ON — The Belleville Police Service is excited to share its 2026–2029 Strategic Plan: The Way Forward. This plan is a clear roadmap that will guide our service over the next four years.

Developed through extensive consultation with our members, partners, and the public, this plan reflects a shared vision for a safe and engaged community. It highlights key priorities across the Service, focusing on collaborative community safety and engagement, our people, and operational excellence.

“This plan is built on the voices and feedback of our members and community,” said Chief Murray Rodd. “It is a shared plan that positions us to move forward with clarity and purpose. Our greatest successes come from supporting our people and working closely with those we serve. We have asked for input and now we seek your partnership in action to make a measurable difference in public safety across Belleville.”

The plan includes stronger community engagement, proactive policing strategies, innovative ideas, and improved communications. It sets the stage for continued growth and deeper connections between the Belleville Police Service and the people of Belleville.

“This plan will guide the Belleville Police Service to deliver results that reflect the community’s safety needs, values, and expectations,” said Belleville Police Service Board Chair Heather Smith. “Under Chief Murray Rodd’s leadership, the plan’s priorities will focus on increasing safety while building trust and provide a clear framework for collaborating with residents to address challenges and strengthen policing in Belleville.”

The Belleville Police Service thanks all members, partners, and residents who contributed to shaping this plan and looks forward to working together to bring it to life.
