Traffic Enforcement

On September 11th at 7:33pm, Belleville Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the city’s northeast end. Officers learned the male driver was currently a prohibited driver and was also bound by a release order to not have care or control of a motor vehicle. As a result, a 33-year-old Brighton man was arrested and charged with:

  • Failure to comply with a probation order
  • Failure to comply with a release order
  • Operation while prohibited
 

He was held for a bail hearing.

Possession of Stolen Property

On September 12th at 1:39am, Belleville Police received an Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) hit for a motor vehicle with stolen plates in the city’s east end. Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested two people.

Travis Todhunter, 43-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Failure to comply with a probation order

He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in November.

  • Driving while under suspension
