Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 362 calls for service beginning at 5:00 am on October 10, 2025 to 5:00 am on October 14, 2025.

Dangerous Operation

On October 10th at 7:03am, Belleville Police received a report of a possible impaired driver in the city’s west end. Upon arrival, police located the suspect vehicle which was parked in the roadway blocking traffic. Police boxed in the suspect vehicle and approached, observing a male asleep behind the wheel.

When officers woke the male, he drove into a police cruiser before fleeing at a high rate of speed.  Officers engaged in a pursuit, but it was discontinued due to public safety. 

A short time later, officers observed the suspect vehicle unoccupied in a parking lot on North Front St.

At 10:17am, as a result of the investigation, Kenneth Felker, 41-year-old Belleville man, was located, arrested and charged with:

  • Dangerous operation
  • Flight from Peace officer
  • Driving while under suspension (HTA)

He was held for a bail hearing.  

Break and Enter

On October 10th at 10:24pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of a break and enter at a business in the city’s north end. Staff reported finding a bicycle and personal belongings of an unknown person at the rear of the store and also reported hearing footsteps above the store.

Upon arrival, officers accessed the roof and located a male actively damaging a rooftop HVAC unit.

As a result of investigation, officers arrested and charged Nathan Irwin, a 37-year-old Belleville male of no fixed address. During the arrest, he attempted to flee. He was charged with:

  • Possession of break in instruments
  • Obstruct a peace officer
  • Mischief over $5,000
  • Break and Enter
  • Fail to comply with probation order X2
  • Fail to comply with a release order X2
  • Fail to comply with an undertaking
 

He was held for a bail hearing.

Breach of Probation

On October 11th at 5:52pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s west end regarding a report of an unwanted person. It was reported that a male was on the property attempting to contact a female resident, which was in violation of his probation order. The male then began smashing a front door window in an attempt to gain entry.

Upon arrival, officers located the male and arrested him. As a result, a 34-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with:

  • Fail to comply with probation order X3
  • Mischief – Domestic
 

He was held for a bail hearing.

Theft from Vehicle

On October 12th at 10:56am, Belleville Police responded to a report of theft from a vehicle outside a business on Pinnacle St. It was reported that while the vehicle owner was inside the business, an unknown person broke into her car and stole several items, including luggage, jewelry, and iPads.

Traffic Enforcement

On October 13th at approximately 5:50pm, Belleville Police observed a motorcycle driving in the city’s west end displaying an unattached plate for an off-road vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the female driver, who initially provided a false name. She was later identified as a person known to police and found to be breaching her release order, which specified her to remain in her residence at all times unless with her surety. During the search, officers also seized brass knuckles.  

As a result of investigation, a 39-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with:

  • Carrying a concealed prohibited device
  • Obstruct a peace officer
  • Failure to comply with release order
 

She was held for a bail hearing.
