Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 135 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on September 30, 2025 to 5:00 am on October 1, 2025.
Break and Enter
On July 24th, Belleville Police received a report of a break and enter at a residence in the city’s west end. It was reported that sometime between 7:00am and 5:00pm, an unknown person gained entry through the garage by smashing a window and stole various items in the residence.
Following an investigation, on September 30th, Belleville Police identified a male suspect and obtained grounds for arrest.
At approximately 1:30pm, officers located, arrested, and charged a 34-year-old Belleville man with break and enter. He was held for a bail hearing.
Impaired Driver
On September 30th, Belleville Police received a report of an erratic driver in the city’s north end.
Officers located the suspect vehicle which was parked and observed damage to the rims and front bumper. A female was sitting in the passenger seat, and she advised officers that she had been driving the vehicle and hit a curb. Officers observed her to be impaired.
As a result of investigation, Siobhan Callen-Hilferty, 30-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with Operation while impaired – alcohol and Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus. She was released on an Undertaking with a court date in November.
