Belleville Police Service Supports “Tammie’s Jammies” Program

BELLEVILLE, ON — The Belleville Police Service is proud to once again be an official drop-off location for the Tammie’s Jammies program — a community initiative that collects new pajamas for local children and families in need during the holiday season. The program, coordinated by the Port Hope Police Service and Ganaraska Financial Credit Union, collects pajamas for the Children’s Foundation. You can drop off your pajamas at our location so a child will have something special to open on Christmas Eve. From November 15 through December 20, members of the public are encouraged to drop off new pajamas in any size, from infants to teens, at the Belleville Police Service headquarters, 459 Sidney Street, Belleville. Belleville Senators Host “Police vs. Fire” Charity Game

BELLEVILLE, ON — The Belleville Police Service is excited to hit the ice in a special hockey matchup hosted by the Belleville Senators in support of the Enrichment Centre for Mental Health. As part of the Belleville Senators’ annual Community Heroes Night, local Police and Fire Services will face off in a “Police vs. Fire” charity hockey game on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at the CAA Arena in Belleville. Admission is free, and all are welcome to come out and cheer on our community’s first responders. Adopt-a-Child / Keep Kids Warm Program Wraps Up Another Successful Season

BELLEVILLE, ON — The 2025 Adopt-a-Child / Keep Kids Warm program has officially wrapped up for the season, marking another tremendous year of community support for local families. This year, the program provided new winter outerwear to over 1,200 children across Belleville, Stirling, Prince Edward County, and Central Hastings. The Adopt-a-Child program ensures that children from low-income families and those on assistance start the winter season with warm coats, hats, mitts, and boots. “Every year, our community shows just how much it cares,” said Cst. Jewelry Store Break and Enter Investigation Continues

BELLEVILLE, ON — The Belleville Police Service is continuing to look for suspects after a significant amount of jewelry was stolen from a business in Belleville.   On August 19, 2025, at approximately 2:45am, officers responded to a report of break and enter at Time Zone Jewellers. Upon arrival, police discovered that the front door had been pried open. Several display cases were smashed, and a safe containing jewelry and cash was missing. Further investigation determined that a significant quantity of jewelry with a high value had been stolen.   The Belleville Police Service is asking anyone who may have been in the area of Mineral Road around the time of the incident, or who may have cell phone, dash camera, or surveillance footage, to contact D/Cst.
