Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 112 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on May 14, 2025 to 5:00 am on May 15, 2025.
Assault
On 14 May,2025, at 9:55am, Belleville Police received a call in the City’s downtown core regarding an assault. Officers learned that a suspect male party had thrown hot coffee in another person’s face. Police were able to identify the assailant through CCTV and witness statements. As a result, 27-year-old Stephan Young was charged with one count of assault. He was released from police custody with a court date in June.
Stolen trailer
On 14 May, 2025, at 10:15am, Belleville Police received a call regarding a stolen dump trailer. The complainant advised that a black dump trailer with, with attached plate V6524F, was stolen from a job site in the Bridge Street West area. An older white Chevrolet pick up truck was observed on camera taking the trailer.
