On January 28^th at 12:57pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of a male uttering threats in the city’s west end. It was reported that the male had threatened to attend a female’s residence and stab her.

As a result of investigation, at approximately 4:20pm, officers located, arrested and charged a 41-year-old Belleville man with uttering threats.

While the male was in custody, he spat on an officer and was charged additionally with assaulting a peace officer.

He was held for a bail hearing.
