Intimate Partner Violence
On February 6th at 7:40pm, Belleville Police attended a residence in the city’s west end regarding a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a female who reported that earlier in the evening, a verbal argument escalated and a male had pushed her and spit on her. It was also revealed that the male was bound by conditions to not communicate with the female or be at her residence. After the incident, the male left the residence.
On February 7th, as a result of investigation, officers located, arrested, and charged a 32-year-old Belleville man with:
- Assault
- Fail to comply with release order X6
- Outstanding warrants executed
He was held for a bail hearing.
Warrants
On February 7th at 1:36pm, Belleville Police responded to an address in the city’s west end regarding a domestic dispute. It was reported that a male and female were in an argument, with the male refusing to leave the female’s residence. Further investigation revealed the male suspect had an outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrant for Assault and Fail to comply with a probation order.
Upon arrival, officers located the 31-year-old Belleville man and arrested him on the strength of the warrant.
He was held for a bail hearing.
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
On February 8th at 2:15am, Belleville Police responded to an address in the city’s north end regarding a report of a disturbance. It was reported that a male and a female were in an argument and the male was refusing to leave the residence.
Upon arrival, officers observed the male party who was known to have conditions to not communicate with the female.
As a result of investigation, a 55-year-old Quinte West man, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
He was held for a bail hearing.
