Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 110 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on February 4, 2026 to 5:00 am on February 5, 2026.
Impaired Driver
On February 4th at 11:19pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver in the city’s east end after a female was observed to be asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect vehicle, which was stopped in the roadway with a female driver still behind the wheel. Officers approached the vehicle and spoke to the driver and observed signs of impairment.
As a result of investigation, Coralea Shaw, 41-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation – alcohol and drugs and was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with several offences.
She was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court in March.
Intimate Partner Violence
On February 4th at 2:16pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s west end regarding a report of a domestic dispute. It was reported that a verbal argument escalated and a male pushed a female.
As a result of investigation, a 48-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with assault. He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in March.
