On February 24^th, 2026, members of the Belleville Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit arrested a 47-year-old Courtice, Ontario male, Jeffery Merrick, on two counts of Failing to Comply with a Release Order.

Merrick was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
