On December 8^th at 3:20pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of a domestic assault at a residence in the city’s east end. It was reported that a male had assaulted a female earlier in the week and would not leave the residence. Officers also learned that the male was bound by conditions to not communicate with the female.

As a result of investigation, a 40-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:

• Assault
• Fail to comply with a probation order X3

He was held for a bail hearing.
