On August 6^th at approximately 1:00am, Belleville Police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke to a female who reported that she had been physically assaulted by a male who then fled the scene. Officers also learned that the male suspect was in violation of a release order by communicating with the female. As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:

• Assault
• Failure to comply with release order X2
• Forcible confinement

He was held for a bail hearing.
