Assault
On August 26th at 6:09pm, Belleville Police attended an apartment complex in the city’s west end regarding a report of assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male who reported being punched in the face by another male resident of the building. As a result of investigation, Travis Place, 40-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with assault. He was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in October.
Stunt Driving
On August 26th at 11:12pm, Belleville Police conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle driving dangerously in a parking lot on North Front St. As a result, a 26-year-old Belleville man was charged with stunt driving under the Highway Traffic Act and issued a summons with a court date in December. His vehicle was impounded for 14 days and his license suspended for 30 days.
