Impaired Driver
On April 8th at 11:57pm, Belleville Police responded to reports of a suspected impaired driver in the city’s west end. It was reported that a vehicle struck other cars before colliding with a pole. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect vehicle, which was off the roadway as it struck a hydro pole. Officers spoke with the female driver and observed signs of impairment. While conducting further investigation, the female also caused damage to a BPS instrument.
As a result, Lisa Knightly, 45-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
- Mischief – renders property inoperative X2
She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in May,
