Theft and Mischief to Vehicles

Belleville ON- On the 4th of September, 2021 at 7:26 a.m., police responded to a residence on Ritchie Ave., regarding damage to a motor vehicle. Police spoke to the complainant who advised that their vehicle was damaged sometime overnight by unknown suspect(s).  During the investigation officers learned that several vehicles had been entered and a number of tires were slashed in the neighbourhood.  Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Cleary-Porritt at 613-966-0882 X4226 or at dcleary-porritt@police.belleville.on.ca.

Domestic Assault

Belleville ON - On September 4th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the south end of the City regarding a disturbance.  Information from the complainant indicated that a male was yelling at a female and had smashed her cell phone.  Officers located the involved parties and after a thorough investigation, arrested a 35-year-old male from Belleville for domestic assault and domestic mischief.  The accused was brought to Belleville Police Headquarters, released a short time later on strict conditions with a court date of October 4th, 2021 at Quinte Consolidated Court.

Motor Vehicle Collison

Belleville ON – On September 4th, 2021 at 12:23 p.m. police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving 2 vehicles, at the intersection of North Front St and Donald Ave.  Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and transported one of the occupants of the vehicles to Belleville General Hospital with minor injuries. Charges were laid against one of the drivers for careless driving under section 130(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
