Impaired Driver
Belleville, ON - On the 29th of September 2020, at 3:23 p.m., officers on patrol observed a motorist apparently asleep at the wheel in the city’s south end. Following an investigation into the matter, the driver was found to be impaired by alcohol. The accused, 41-year-old Scott MacKinnon of Belleville was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood. He was later released with an October 15th court date.
Liquor Licence Act
Belleville ON - On the 29th of September 2020, at 5:16 p.m., police were called to a disturbance in the central area of the city. Following an investigation into the matter two Belleville residents, a 27-year-old male and a 30-year-old male, were both arrested for their own safety and charged under the Liquor Licence Act for being intoxicated in a public place and held in custody until sober.
Belleville ON - On the 30th of September 2020, at 2:39 a.m., police were called to an east end business regarding a male observed to be stumbling around the parking lot. Further investigation found the male to be intoxicated. The accused, a 24-year-old male from Verona, ON was arrested for his own protection and charged under the Liquor Licence Act for being intoxicated in a public place and held in custody until sober.
Motor Vehicle Collision
Belleville ON – On the 29th of September 2020, at 11:24 p.m., police attended in the city’s west end in response to a motor vehicle collision. The investigation found that a motor vehicle had lost control and left the roadway, coming to rest on the CN railway tracks. The rail tracks were damaged as a result of the collision.
