The Belleville Police responded to 68 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. on the 25th September 2021 and 5:00 a.m. on the 26th September 2021.
Liquor Licence Act
Belleville, ON – On the 25th of September 2021, at approximately 6:13 p.m., police were called to an East end location for a report of a male walking out in front of vehicular traffic and then laying down on curb. On arrival, officers observed the male to be heavily intoxicated due to having consumed a large number of alcoholic beverages. The 39-year-old Belleville man was arrested for his own safety under the liquor licence act and taken to cells until he was able to care for himself. He was later released on a Part I offence notice, charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
Motor Vehicle Collision
Belleville, ON – On the 26th of September 2021, at approximately 1:59 a.m., police attended downtown for a report of a single motor vehicle collision into a pole. The male driver sustained minor injuries from losing control of his vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene as it sustained heavy damage. A 22-year-old Belleville man was charged with careless driving.
