Belleville Police Service responded to 67 calls for service from the 21st of September 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 22nd of September 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Public Intoxication

Belleville, ON – On the 22nd of September 2020 at 2:53 a.m., Police attended the area of Union Street for the report of a male causing a disturbance. Police attended the area and located the intoxicated male on foot leaving the area. The 19-year-old male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and transported to the Belleville Police Service. When sober, the 19-year-old male will be release on a Provincial Offences Notice for being intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor Licence Act.

City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on September 22nd 2020.  Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance. Further, seven minor motor vehicle collisions were reported during the past 24 hours.
