Theft
Belleville ON, On 20 September 2020 at 4:20 p.m., officers attended at the Canadian Tire at 101 Bell Blvd in regards to a male and female shoplifter. Store security reported that they apprehended the two attempting to leave with $70.00 in merchandise. Police attended and arrested the pair. Jeffrey Sowa, 27, and Erica Burden, 22, both from Tweed, were released on appearance notices with a court date of 22 Oct 2020. There were also trespassed from the store.
Arrested on Warrants
Belleville ON, On 20 September 2020, at 8:45 p.m., police were patrolling the area of Boswell Street when a male was observed who was currently wanted for uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The warrant stemmed from a domestic related incident where a female was threatened with a machete by the male. The 44-year-old Belleville man was arrested and later released with a 5 October court date. His name is not being released at this time to protect the identity of the victim.
