The Belleville Police Service responded to 105 calls from September 17th 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to September 18th 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Public Intoxication

Belleville ON- On 17 September 2021 at 2:25 p.m. officers attended at an apartment complex on Bridge St. W. on the report of a disturbance.  A 41 yr. old Belleville woman arrested at the scene and charged with being intoxicated in a public place.  She was held at the BPS HQ until sober enough to care for herself.

Impaired Driving Collision

Belleville ON- On 17 September 2021 at 6:00 p.m. officers attended on Dundas St. W. for a two-vehicle crash.  Investigation showed one of the drivers involved was impaired.  44 yr old Kevin Reid from Belleville was arrested at the scene.  Reid has an October court date, charged with Impaired Driving, 80 or more mg of alcohol in his blood, and driving with a suspended licence.  No injuries were reported.

Empire Square Welcome Home – Night One

Belleville ON- Officers were on-scene for the music concert downtown.  A large crowd attended but no issues were reported and no arrests or charges were filed. 

Disturbance – Running Naked

Belleville ON- On 17 September 2021 at 10:18 p.m. officers attended on Dundas St. W. when several callers reported a woman running in the roadway naked.  Officers located a 26 yr. old woman at the intersection.  She was arrested for causing a disturbance.

Disturbance - Witchcraft

Belleville ON- On 18 September 2021 at 3:20 a.m. officers attended on Church St. for a woman acting out.  Officers had previously dealt with the woman several times on Front St. when she attempted to “cast a spell” on passersby’s walking home from the Empire Square concert.  This behaviour was not well received and nearly resulted in several fights.  Officers arrested a 44 yr. old Belleville woman for causing a disturbance.
