Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville, ON. - On the 5th of October 2021 at 5:40 p.m. Police responded to the area of Sidney Street and Moira Street for a two-vehicle collision. One of the involved vehicles sustained significant damage and there were no injuries reported. As a result of a Police investigation, the at fault driver was charged with Follow Too Closely under the Highway Traffic Act.

Road Rage Incident Results in Charges

Belleville, ON. – On the 5th of October 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Police responded to the area of Bay Bridge Road and Dundas Street regarding a road rage incident. It was reported that a male was hitting a female with his cane as a result of the altercation. Police conducted an investigation resulting in the 62-year-old male, Gordon Mullen, being charged with Assault and Careless Driving. He was released from the scene on an Appearance Notice for the Assault and a Part III Summons for Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act. He was given a Court date of the 28th of October 2021 to face the charges.

Shoplifting Incident

Belleville, ON. – On the 5th of October 2021 at 5:15 p.m. Police responded to a business in the area of Millennium Parkway regarding a shoplifter. The businesses Loss Prevention Officer observed a 29-year-old Belleville female conceal items from within the store and exit with no attempt to pay for the goods. The female was arrested for theft, then after paying for the goods and at the request of the business, she was issued a Provincial Offences Notice for Engage in Prohibited Activity on Premises under the Trespass to Property Act.
