The Belleville Police Service responded to 75 calls from October 4th 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to October 5th 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Arrest made for Uttering Death Threats

Belleville, ON. - On the 4th of October 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Police received a complaint of Uttering Death Threats by a male on his family. It was reported that the 52-year-old Belleville male had threatened to kill his family and his whereabouts was unknown. Police conducted an investigation and after an extensive search, and a collaborative effort between several Police jurisdictions, Police located and arrested the male in Belleville, without incident, at 10:50 p.m. The male was charged with three counts of Uttering Death Threats and was held for bail at the Belleville Police Service.

Charge Laid - Intoxicated in a Common Area

Belleville, ON. – On the 4th of October 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Police responded to the area of Tracey Park Drive regarding an intoxicated female. Police attended the area and located the intoxicated female. Police investigated the incident and subsequently arrested the 21-year-old Belleville female for Being Intoxicated in a Common Area. She was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she was issued a Provincial Offences Notice and was held until sober.

City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on October 5th 2021.  Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
