The Belleville Police Service responded to 79 calls for service from October 23rd, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to October 24th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Male Arrested for Breach of Undertaking

Belleville, ON – On the 23rd of October 2020 at 9:45 p.m. Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Albert Street in the City of Belleville. Upon investigation, Police learned the driver of the vehicle was breaching his Undertaking. The 34-year-old male was arrested for Breach of Undertaking and transported to the Belleville Police Service where he is being held for a bail hearing.

Theft of Packages Left at Residences from On-Line Shopping

The Belleville Police Service would like to remind the public to be vigilant with regards to having packages delivered to their homes. With the holiday season quickly approaching, thieves are targeting packages left at residences unattended.

City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on October 24th 2020.  Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance. Further, several minor Motor Vehicle Collisions were referred to the Belleville Police Service Collision Reporting Center.
