The Belleville Police Service responded to 52 calls for service from October 16th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to October 17th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville, ON – On the 16th of October 2020 at 3:15 p.m. Police responded to the area of Bell Blvd. regarding a two-vehicle collision. There were no injuries reported and only minor damage to the vehicles. The at fault driver was charged with Change Lane-Not in Safety under the Highway Traffic Act.
Belleville, ON – On the 17th of October 2020 at 4:45 a.m. Police responded to the area of Blessington Road regarding a single motor vehicle collision with two horses. There were no injuries to the driver reported, significant damage to the vehicle and unknown injuries to the animals. The investigation is continuing.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on October 17th 2020. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance. Further, several minor Motor Vehicle Collisions were referred to the Bellville Police Service Collision Reporting Center.
