The Belleville Police responded to 80 calls for service between 5:00 am on the 8th of November 2021 and 5:00 am on the 9th of November 2021.

Motor Vehicle Collision

Belleville ON-On the 8th of November 2021, 515 p.m. officers attended at the intersection of College Street and North Front Street regarding a motor vehicle collision.    Paramedics attended the area but no injuries were reported but both vehicles were not driveable.  As a result of the investigation a 28-year-old Belleville resident was charged with making a turn not in safety contrary to section 142(1) of Highway Traffic Act.       

Domestic Breach

Belleville, ON - On the 7th of November 2021, a 50-year-old Belleville resident was charged with domestic assault, and released on an undertaking with conditions including not to communicate with his partner.  On the 8th of November 2021 Belleville Police received information that the male had communicated with his partner shortly after his release.  The male was located and arrested at 1pm.  Further investigation resulted in 3 additional counts of domestic assault contrary to section 266, one count of uttering threats contrary to section 264.1(1)(a), 1 count of failing to comply with an undertaking contrary to section 145(4)(a) and 3 counts of unsafe storage of a firearm contrary to section 86(2) of the Criminal Code.  The male is being held for a bail hearing on the 9th of November 2021.
