Mischief and Assault Police

Belleville, ON - On November 2nd, 2020, at 3:19 p.m. police attended an East end residence for a report of a young male destroying the interior of a home. Officers arrested the young male for mischief for causing damage to the home. During the course of the arrest, the youth assaulted one of the officers and was consequently charged with assaulting a peace officer. The 16-year-old Belleville youth was later released on a Form 10 with a court date of the 24th of November 2020 to answer to the charges.

Uttering Threats and Breach of Probation

Belleville, ON – On November 2nd, 2020, at 5:01 p.m., police attended near downtown for a report of a male hitting trees with a golf club. The complainant further revealed that the assailant had threatened to kill him in the process. Officers identified the suspect who was well known to police and arrested him for uttering a threat to cause death. The 45-year-old Belleville Man was also arrested for breaching 2 conditions of his probation order as a result of the incident. He was held for a bail hearing on the 3rd of November 2020.
