The Belleville Police Service responded to 71 calls for service from November 24th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to November 25th, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Liquor Licence Act Arrest

Belleville, ON – On the 24th of November 2020 at 7:30 p.m. Police attended the area of Moira Street West regarding an intoxicated female who was causing a disturbance. Police attended the area and located the intoxicated female. As a result of an investigation, Police arrested the 38-year-old Belleville female for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place under the Liquor Licence Act. The female was transported to the Belleville Police Service where she is being held until sober.

Arrested on Warrants

Belleville, ON – On the 24th of November 2020 at 4:45 p.m. Police received information that a wanted male was in the area of Bridge Street East in the City of Belleville. Police attended the area and located the wanted male, 38-year-old Belleville male Daryl Verner, and arrested him on the outstanding warrant. He was then transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was released on an Undertaking stemming from charges for Failing to Appear for Fingerprints.

City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on November 25th 2020.  Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
