Motor Vehicle Collisions

Over the last twenty-four-Hour period Belleville Police Service has dealt with eleven Motor Vehicle Collisions throughout the city. Of the eleven, ten were property damage and one had minor injuries. Several drivers and one pedestrian were charged with Highway Traffic Act Offences. Police remind drivers to be cautious as we reach the winter driving season.

Warrants

On the 23rd of November at 12:39 p.m. Belleville Police were called to North Front Street for reports of a female in medical distress. The female was taken to Belleville General Hospital for medical treatment. A male accompanying the female forty-year-old Belleville, Ontario resident Michael Juby was determined to be wanted on warrants for Fail to attend court and fail to attend for finger prints. As a result, Juby was arrested and later released with a court date of December 20, 2021.

Breach of Probation

On the 22nd of November, 2021 a thirty-three-year-old male currently on a Prohibition order to not be within 500 meters of the complainant’s residence was caught on video surveillance in contravention of that order. The male was contacted by Belleville Police and later turned himself in. The male was held for a Show Cause Hearing on the 23rd of November, 2021. The name of the male is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
