The Belleville Police Service responded to 53 calls for service from November 1st, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to November 2nd, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
Shoplifting
Belleville, ON- On November 1st, 2020, at 2:40 p.m. police attended a Bell Blvd business regarding a shoplifting incident. Investigation found that a quantity of merchandise had been stolen. A 27-year-old Belleville resident was arrested and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation and was held for bail.
City Police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on November 2nd, 2020. Police responded to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, domestics, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
