On November 16th, 2021 at 8:41 am Police received a call to 24 South Church Street Belleville, Ontario regarding a Break and Enter into a garage. The complainant informed that three bicycles and an e-scooter were stolen. At 3:53 pm the complainant located a male with one of the bikes on Bridge Street East Belleville, Ontario. Officers attended and arrested thirty-five-year-old Gordon Green of no fixed address for possession of stolen property. It was also determined that the male was currently on an undertaking for previous charges. As a result, Green was charged with Possession of stolen property and fail to comply with an undertaking. It was also determined that a female in the company of Gordon Green was currently on conditions not to associate with him. As a result, forty-five-year-old Tracy Brenton was arrested and charged with Breach of Probation. Both have a scheduled court date of December 9th, 2021.
Domestic Assault
On November 16th, 2021 at 2:04 pm Police received a call regarding a vehicle that drove over a curb and onto a lawn. It was also reported that a young female was screaming inside the car and attempting to kick out the door of the vehicle. A member of the public attempted to block the vehicle however it left prior to police arrival. The vehicles license plate was provided and police attended the owners address and located a male and female seated in the vehicle. As a result of the investigation into the incident a 34-year-old Belleville, Ontario male was arrested and charged with Assault. It was further determined that the male was in possession of a small amount of illegal narcotics and criminally prohibited from driving. As a result, the male was furthered charged with Possession of a Controlled substance and Operation of a vehicle while prohibited. The male was released on an undertaking with a court date of December 13th, 2021. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
