The Belleville Police responded to 68 calls for service between 5:00 a.m. on the 31st of October 2021 and 5:00 a.m. on the 1st of November 2021.

Concerning Treats

Belleville ON-Belleville Police are asking parents to double check their children’s halloween candy.  Two parents reported that they located tablets not suitable for children to ingest which were found mixed in with their children’s candy.  It is believed the tablets were given out somewhere in the Gilbert Street and Maple Street area in Belleville.  Dispose of the tablets if you locate them.  If you are aware of the person(s) or location where these tablets may have been handed out please contact Constable Genore at 613-966-0822 ext. 4194 or sgenore@belleville.police.on.ca.

 

Break and Enter

Belleville ON-On the 31st of October 2021 at 415 a.m. Belleville Police attended an address on Highway 37 near Ritz road regarding a male who appeared to be lurking around the property.  Once on scene the male was located and was in possession of property from the residence.  44-year-old Paul Laroche-Davidson of Belleville was charged with break and enter contrary to section 348(1)(a) and possession of property obtained by crime contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.  The accused was later released on an undertaking and given a December 9th 2021 court date.

Single Vehicle Rollover

Belleville ON- On the 31st of October 2021 at 1030 a.m. Belleville Police attended the area of Wallbridge-Loyalist Road at Moira Street West regarding single vehicle rollover.  Officers arrived and determined there were no injuries, but the vehicle was not driveable.  As a result of the investigation a 30-year-old Belleville resident was charged with careless driving contrary to section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act.
