The Belleville Police Service responded to 71 calls for service from October 31st, 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to November 1st, 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Male Arrested on Warrants

Belleville, ON – On the 31st of October 2020 at 10:20 p.m. Police attended the area of Front Street regarding an EMS assist call. Police attended the area and found a 31-year-old Belleville male being treated by EMS. Once clear from EMS, Police spoke to the male and learned that he was wanted by the Belleville Police Service on outstanding warrants. The male was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service where he is being held for a bail hearing.

Careless Driving Charge

Belleville, ON – On the 1st of November 2020 at 1:30 a.m. Police responded to a report of a male driving erratically on Harmony Road. Police attended the area and located the described vehicle on Harmony Road, East of Hwy. 37. Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified a 19-year-old Belleville male as the driver. As a result of an investigation, the male was issued a 3-day suspension and charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving, novice driver B.A.C above zero and young driver B.A.C above zero. The male was issued Provincial Offences Notices for the above charges.

Public Intoxication Charge

Belleville, ON – On the 1st of November 2020 at 1:55 a.m. Police responded to the area of Meadowvale Drive regarding a disturbance. Police attended the area and located a 29-year-old Belleville male who was intoxicated and out of control, acting violently towards others. The male was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service where he is being held until sober. He will be issued a Provincial Offences Notice for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place upon release.
