The Belleville Police responded to 68 calls for service between 04 May 2021 at 5:00 a.m. and 05 May 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Stolen Vehicle and Recovery

Belleville ON, On 04 May 2021 at 3:20 p.m. Belleville Police attended at a car dealership in the North end of the City.  It was reported that a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado had been stolen.  Later in the evening the truck was located in Campbellford, On.  The investigation into who took the vehicle remains on-going.  Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Cst. Break & Enter

Belleville ON, On 04 May 2021 at 5:30 p.m. Belleville Police responded at a residential complex in the east end where it was report someone had broken into a unit.  Officers attended and discovered the unit ransacked.  The investigation remains on-going.

911 Calls

The Belleville Police Communications Centre received fourteen (14) false 911 calls in the past 24 hrs.  The public is remined that 911 operators must confirm EVERY call to them is not an emergency.  These false calls / pocket dials tie up valuable resources and time for communication staff.  

Motor Vehicle Collisions

City police responded to six (6) MVC’s over that past 24hrs.  Minor injuries were reported in two of the crashes.  Motorists are reminded to slow down during periods of rain and activate their full headlight systems whenever constant windshield wiper use is required.
