The Belleville Police Service responded to 69 calls for service from the 4th of May 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 5th of May 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
Breach of Bail Recognizance
Belleville ON – On May 4, 2020 at approximately 7:30 p.m., city police attended a North East residential complex in relation to threats being made. The investigation revealed that the threats complaint was unfounded however, a male in the residence who did not reside there was found to be in breach of his bail conditions.
Thurlow resident, 34-year-old, David Maracle was arrested and charged with one count of Breach of Court Release Order. Mr. Maracle was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear at the Belleville Ontario Court of Justice on June 18, 2020 to answer to the charge.
Stolen Bicycles
Belleville City Police have been receiving a large increase of reported stolen bicycles from residential properties. Belleville Police would like to remind citizens to secure their bicycles in a garage or shed if possible. However, if you have to leave them outside, please be vigilant to lock them up and retain your bicycles serial number which makes it easier for police to locate owners whose bicycles they recover.
