 Female Assaulted with a Weapon

Belleville, ON- On 26 May 2021, at 4:06 a.m., police responded to a call on Station Street regarding a female who was struck in the face with a pipe. Upon arrival, the female was being treated by EMS for a potential serious head injury. Police were advised that the female had been struck in the head by a male unknown to her after a brief interaction. The suspect then fled the area on foot. The suspect was described as 35-45 years old, medium build, 5’6-5’8, wearing a plaid shirt and grey pants. Police searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The female was transported the Belleville General Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service.

Drug Arrest

Belleville, ON- On 26 May 2021, at 9:20 p.m., Police received a call to Bridge Street East regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in the roadway. Police arrived and spoke to the female driver who was showing signs of impairment by drugs. The female was arrested and police then located a quantity of drugs on her person. Jessica Easterbrooke-Welsh, 49, of Belleville was charged with three counts of possession of drugs. She was also issued a 3-day licence suspension. She was released with a court date of 19 July 2021.
