Belleville Police Service responded to 71 calls for service from the 17th of May 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 18th of May 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Assault with a Weapon

Belleville, ON – On the 17th of May shortly after 9:00 a.m. Belleville Police were called to an apartment on Mary St. with regards to the report of a disturbance involving a male with a knife. Shorty after they arrived, police arrested a 23-year-old city resident for assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public. Lucas Devon Wood was taken to The Belleville Police station where he was later released on an Undertaking with a court date of the 6th of August to answer to the charges. There were no injuries sustained as a result of the disturbance.

Stolen vehicle

Belleville, ON – On the 18th of May Belleville Police took a report of a stolen vehicle that was taken from a Sidney St. parking lot sometime between 9:00 p.m. on the 16th of May and midnight of the 17th.  Stolen was a 4 door 2009 Volkswagen Golf grey in colour. If anyone has any information with regards to the theft or the whereabouts of the vehicle they are encouraged to call The Belleville Police at 613-962-3456.
