Belleville Police Service responded to 71 calls for service from the 17^th of May 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 18^th of May 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Assault with a Weapon

Belleville, ON – On the 17^th of May shortly after 9:00 a.m. Belleville Police were called to an apartment on Mary St. with regards to the report of a disturbance involving a male with a knife. Shorty after they arrived, police arrested a 23-year-old city resident for assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public. Lucas Devon Wood was taken to The Belleville Police station where he was later released on an Undertaking with a court date of the 6^th of August to answer to the charges. There were no injuries sustained as a result of the disturbance.

Stolen vehicle

Belleville, ON – On the 18^th of May Belleville Police took a report of a stolen vehicle that was taken from a Sidney St. parking lot sometime between 9:00 p.m. on the 16^th of May and midnight of the 17^th.  Stolen was a 4 door 2009 Volkswagen Golf grey in colour.
