The Belleville Police Service responded to 44 calls for service from the 9th of May 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 10th of May 2020 at 5:00 a.m.
Caution to Boaters on the Bay of Quinte
Belleville, ON – On the 9th of May 2020 at approx. 4:45 p.m. Police received a report that a light standard on the East side of the Bay Bridge had blown over and fallen into the Bay in the South channel. The proper authorities have been contacted by the City and Police would like to caution anyone boating on the Bay that there is a portion of the light standard protruding from the water in the South channel. Please be cautious when using the waterways.
City Police also report a relatively steady 24-hour period ending at 5:00 a.m. on May 10th 2020. Police did respond to several incidents that ended peacefully with Police intervention. Those incidents included numerous noise complaints, disturbances, suspicious persons and vehicles, traffic complaints, neighbour and family disputes, animal complaints, and calls to assist ambulance.
