The Belleville Police Service responded to 70 calls from April 30th 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to May 1st 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Conditions Breach

Belleville ON-On the 30th of April 2021 at 3:00 p.m., Belleville Police were dispatched to a East end residence regarding an unwanted male.  Investigation revealed the male who was known to the occupants, had entered the residence despite being recently released on an undertaking for charges of mischief and being unlawfully in a dwelling.  The release conditions included not to be at the residence or communicate with its occupants.  As a result, a 35-year-old Belleville resident was charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking contrary to section 145(4)(a) of the Criminal Code.   The male was held for a bail hearing on the 1st of May 2021.

Prohibited Driver

Belleville ON-On the 30th of April 2021 at 3:30 p.m., a Belleville Police officer stopped a motorcycle in the East end of the city.  Investigation revealed that the driver was prohibited from driving in the province of Ontario.  As a result, 45-year-old Ryan Mason of Belleville was charged with operating a vehicle while prohibited contrary to section 320.18(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.  He was released with a June 17th court date.

Collision

Belleville ON-On the 30th of April 2021 at 430 p.m., Belleville Police attended the area of Dundas Street West and Avonlough Road regarding a motor vehicle collision.  No injuries were reported but one vehicle was not driveable.  As a result of the investigation one of the driver’s was charged with careless driving contrary to section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act.
