Domestic Assault
Belleville, ON – On the 12th of March, 2021 at 3:10 p.m. Police were called to a west-end address in relation to a domestic assault. Police spoke with the female victim, who advised that a male assaulted and threatened her. A 47-year-old male was arrested for assault, assault with a weapon, uttering a death threat and mischief. The accused was held for bail hearing.
Suspicious Person Incident
Belleville, ON – On the 13th of March, 2021 at 10:33 p.m. Police were called to check on the suspicious activity of a male in an east end school yard. Police attended in the area and located a 40-year-old male, hiding from police underneath a portable classroom. The male was coaxed out underneath the portable and identified himself as Jody Wannamaker. Police check of Wannamaker revealed that he was wanted on outstanding warrants. He was arrested and transported to Belleville Police Service and later released on an undertaking with a court date on April 15th, 2021.
