The Belleville Police Service responded to 68 calls from June 3rd 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to June 4th   2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Drone Called to Assist in Locating Man

Belleville, ON - On June 3rd., 2020 at 7:00 p.m., police responded to an area north of Highway 401 West of Mitchell Road to assist the OPP.  A stolen vehicle from the Brockville area had left the roadway and entered the ditch after being pursed on the Westbound 401 by the OPP.  A lone suspect was seen fleeing on foot northbound from the area.  A K9 track was conducted by the OPP along with assistance from the Belleville Police Service drone, and the male was eventually located. OPP are continuing the investigation.  There was no word on charges.

Youth Arrested on Warrant

Belleville, ON – On June 4th 2020 at 12:02 a.m., police arrested a male youth for uttering threats to cause property damage.  The 15-year old male, who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested from an earlier incident at residence in the Northern portion of the city.  He was transported to police headquarters, and issued an undertaking with strict conditions and a court date later this summer.  The male was further held for pickup by the Durham Children’s Aid Society.
