Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 103 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on June 24, 2024 to 5:00 am on June 25, 2024.


Motor Vehicle Collision

On the 24th of June at 5:33pm, Belleville Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Millennium Drive.  The collision between a car and a motorcycle resulted in significant damage to the vehicles but thankfully no injuries. The driver of the car, a 24-year-old male from Brighton was charged with failing to have valid insurance under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and fail to yield from a private drive under the Highway Traffic Act. The male was issued a summons for a traffic court date in August.


Trespass to Property Act

On the 25th of June at 2:06am, Belleville Police responded to an unwanted person at the Belleville General Hospital. Hospital security requested police assistance in removing a male who had been causing issues. The male was directed to leave and was trespassed from the property. At 2:35am, security called back to advise the male had returned. The male was adamant on returning and refused to leave.  As a result, a 24-year-old male of no fixed address was arrested under the Trespass to Property Act and charged with Enter Premises When Entry Prohibited. The male was later released on a Provincial Offence Notice.
