Belleville Police Service responded to 67 calls for service from the 17th of June 2020 at 5:00 a.m. to the 18th of June 2020 at 5:00 a.m.

Motor Vehicle Collisions

Belleville, ON – Police responded to six reports of motor vehicle collisions in the city in the past 24 hours including one involving road rage on Old Hwy 2. Shortly after 8:00 a.m. police were called to a report of two vehicles that had pulled onto the shoulder of Old Hwy 2 after being involved in a collision and it appeared that the two drivers had exited their respective vehicle and were arguing. Police received allegations of road rage by both drivers involved in the accident. There were no injuries reported and the incident is still under investigation.

Assault

Belleville, ON – On the 17th of June at 3:00 p.m. police received a report of an assault that had occurred at an apartment complex in the city’s north end. The complainant claimed to have been assaulted outside of one of the apartment buildings by four males after he became embroiled in an argument with them over music which was being played. The caller suffered minor injuries that did not require medical attention and the incident is still under investigation.
