The Belleville Police Service responded to 87 calls from June 14thth 2021 at 5:00 a.m. to June 15th 2021 at 5:00 a.m.

Weapons

On June 14th 2021, shortly after 0900 a.m., Police responded to an incident at Zwicks Park, involving male having a flare gun pointed at him. Witnesses at the park, called Police advising they observed a male pull out the flare gun and threaten an unknown male with it. Upon Police arrival, the victim had already left the area. Police arrested 48-year-old David Robertson and charged him with the following:

-Pointing a firearm

-Possess of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

-Possession of a prohibited device

David was released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a Court Date of July 22nd 2021.

Belleville Police are looking to speak with the male who had an interaction with the accused near the band shell at west Zwicks Park at the time of the incident.  Please contact Constable Code at 613-966-0882 ext. 4227.

Drug Offence

On June 14th 2021, Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Victoria Avenue and George Street. Upon speaking with the driver, Police observed several illegal drugs sitting in plain view of the vehicle. The female driver was arrested for the drugs and upon further investigation, Police seized a taser, as well as over $5000 in cash. 28-Year-old Shannel King was charged for the following:

-3 counts of Possession for the purpose of trafficking

-Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000

-Possession of a prohibited weapon

Shannel was released on an Undertaking with a court date of July 12th 2021.
